At Heimstone, we have always made very colorful prints, very loaded visually and, for the Bloom SS16 collection,
we wanted a very minimalist print, such as stripes or dots.
Alix then designed the fisherman’s hooks print, a reinvented stripe and punctuated by these small hooks so fine and delicate used by fishermen.
"I was coming back from a trip to Thailand and I was inspired by the small ports that were bustling with activity,
where all the fishermen's equipment was in a mess, I wanted to put everything in order!
I saw there a parallel with Heimstone: among the madness of our prints, for once, we wanted to see something neat.
This drawing, I experienced it as a challenge. I thought no one would like it because the customers
did not come to Heimstone for these kinds of prints, very simple! ".
Back at the time, we made a press presentation in the beautiful hôtel particulier of Caudalie headquarters in Paris.
Such a great pleasure for the team to look at these pictures again and see these pieces back then.
Our customers loved it so much in 2016 that it's one of the first prints in Heimstone's history that we decided to reissue in 2019.
